Fixed Penalty Notices
Pay an Environmental Enforcement fine
The council's Neighbourhood Enforcement Team may take action against you if you commit an environmental crime. These offences cover a range of dangerous or antisocial behaviour which harms the safety, or quality of life of the community.
Some typical examples are not disposing of your waste properly, such as fly tipping, littering, or dog control issues, including fouling. The Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) has more information about this.
In most cases, you will receive a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN), although in more serious cases, we may decide to prosecute you.
Fixed penalty amounts and payment deadlines
The Maximum penalty on conviction table sets out the fixed penalty amounts for different environmental offences.
In some cases, the council will accept a reduced amount if the full payment is received within 10 days.
