How to pay for your care
If you have been assessed to pay a contribution towards your care and support, you can make a payment using several different options.
- Payment by Direct Debit - If you would like to pay your invoice by direct debit, please contact the Income Management on 0191 5612471
- Payment by Debit or Credit Card - You can pay by debit or credit card 24 hours a day by calling 0191 520 5588 and choosing "Sundry Debtors" from the available options
- Payment via the Internet - Go to www.sunderland.gov.uk/payonline and select "Sundry Debtors" from the available options and enter your contract number
- Payment by BACS/CHAPS - Make a BACS/CHAPS payment via Natwest Bank quoting your contract number to account number 46623590 sort code: 55-61-11
- In Person - You will receive a letter that includes a barcode. Take the letter to any Post Office or local shop offering the PayPoint Service where the barcode will be scanned to enable payment via cash or debit/credit card
- Payment by Post - Cheques should be made payable to Sunderland City Council quoting the contract number and posted to Sunderland City Council, Finance, City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland, SR1 3AA
If the above payment options are not suitable or in cases of genuine difficulty it may be possible to make an arrangement to pay the balance over a longer period.
