Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce

This course is for anyone aged 19 or over who is interested in working within the children and young person's workforce.

The course is designed to boost the individuals work and life skills to help them gain employment in the desired role. This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people aged 0-19 years and their environments. It covers a wide range of areas including child development and safeguarding.

Learners will need to undergo a DBS check and undertake 150 hours practical placement as they need to show competence in both knowledge and skills. This course will make you employment ready and you can apply for jobs after completion. You will gain sector knowledge and skills, plus interview skills.

Course duration is 1 day each week for approximately 14 weeks.
