Everything you need to know about the British Triathlon Super Series Grand Final in Sunderland
The seafront of Roker will be the place to be on 20-21 August 2022 when Sunderland hosts the British Triathlon Super Series Grand Final during a weekend of swim, bike, run in the city.

What is the British Triathlon Super Series Grand Final Sunderland?
The British Triathlon Super Series Grand Final is one of the biggest events in the domestic calendar, bringing together the best athletes from the sport's performance pathway alongside the opportunity for the local community to experience swim, bike and run for the first time over the weekend.
Sunderland will see British champions crowned at Senior, Junior and Youth age groups as well as hosting the Inter Regional Championships for the best 11 to 14-year-olds from across the country as athletes race in both individual and the exciting mixed relay format with teams of two females and two males battling it out.
There's a fantastic opportunity for families and adults who are new to swim, bike and run to take part in The BIG Swim Bike Run Family and The BIG Swim Bike Run Adult events on Sunday alongside the first ever super sprint triathlon qualifier for age group athletes wanting to represent the Great Britain Age-Group Team.
When and where is the event taking place?
Taking place during the weekend of 20-21 August 2022, the two-day event will be centred around Roker's seafront, providing a stunning setting for a weekend full of swim, bike, run.
Both days are action-packed with the first races getting underway at 8am and opportunities to watch throughout each day with over 30 different races and events taking place across the two days.
Marine Walk will be at the heart of the action with the start, finish and transition areas all located on the Roker seafront, with many fantastic places to watch the racing unfold across the routes. Find out more about the route and places to watch here.
How can I watch?
It's completely free to spectate around the route and enjoy the swim, bike, run action around Roker and the seafront.
The start and finish line will be located on Marine Walk, but spectators can watch from anywhere along the route with the spectator map available to view here.
Free parking for spectators is available at the Stadium of Light (SR5 1SU). Visitors can also get to the event using bus or metro services. Please visit: Bus timetables | nexus.org.uk for the latest information.

What else will there be available to do?
There will be more to do than just spectate, with lots going on and things to enjoy beyond just watching the racing.
On Marine Walk, there will be activation stands for you to find out more about the world of swim, bike, run, and also your chance to collect an exclusive character on the new Swim Bike Run Adventure app (find out more here).
Roker Park will host an Active Sunderland Summer Family Fun session from 10am-2pm on both days including traditional games and sports activities for the whole family to enjoy, all free of charge.

This is just the start for swim, bike, run in Sunderland with the city earmarked to host the World Triathlon Championship Series in 2023.
