Getting permission to film or take photographs

Sunderland are proud to be a film friendly city. Sunderland City Council have signed the Filming Friendly Charter, a North East Screen initiative to esablish the North East as the UK's filming friendly region. We welcome production companies to our area.

Property Services are responsible for issuing filming/photographic licences on council land.

If you wish to film on land owned by us, including public highways, please complete the form below and send it to filming.requests@sunderland.gov.uk
