"My worker has been really good to me I'm pleased I had her on my side. She supported me to access supported living, I've made friends and been able to form new relationships. I used to be housebound I was basically just fading away, I now have new friendships which been great, I found my worker to be very respectful, kind person and gets the job done".
"My worker is exceptional, she has a great empathetic approach, she is extremely dedicated to ensure families get what they need to ensure their child meets full potential where possible. She is great."
"My worker treated me and my dad as if we matter. She got to know my dad as a person and was amazing, caring although the situation is not good. The experience I had with her was brilliant. The situation was very stressful for me, as previously my dad would not accept support but when he was admitted into the hospice she liaised with my dad, the GP, the hospice and the chosen care home to ensure a smooth transfer. Overall, she was so helpful and kept me informed of all developments if this was via text or telephone call".
"I was very happy with the wheelchair assessment; my worker was very polite and helpful. The type of wheelchair I needed was discussed with me and my son, thank you for all Ian has done'.
'My worker was excellent, she was very sympathetic towards me, it's not long ago that I lost my son and daughter to cancer. She was really wonderful she gave me plenty of time to speak and was so polite and well mannered. I'm really looking forward to getting my shower as it will help me to feel fresh and clean which I feel is very important to me.'
'I felt listened too throughout time at Farmborough Court (FC). I was nervous to go to FC but it was a great experience which really helped me to build up my strength and confidence. I am getting out into the community and have been out shopping today and have a hair appointment booked for next week and my confidence is back due to my time in FC and the support from staff, therapy team and the input from the mental health nurse. I was fearful of returning home and thought that it would impact my mood, my worker referred me to the CPN while in FC who re-assured me that my feelings were normal and once, I returned home my mood would improve, and it has".
"My worker was fantastic and helped me through a bad patch when I couldn't cope in my caring role. I could not have wished for a better worker".
"I must say the Carers Centre has been a lifeline for me, there's people to talk to who are also carers that are experiencing things or going through the same things you are".
"Caring for a relative with dementia can be very demanding and overwhelming for family members but my worker and the team at Sunderland Carers Centre have listened sensitively to our difficulties, offered advice and support".

"I am happy in my new placement and my worker has helped me a lot. I wasn't safe in my flat. The worker has listened to me, and I feel comfortable speaking to her. I am in a better position now have been supported to stop drinking as I was drinking a lot when in the flat and I think my health and memory are better. I am much happier and enjoy the food and have made a friend at North View".
