How much is my Council Tax?

The amount of council tax you pay depends on the value of your home. Each home is placed in a valuation band based on what your home was valued at in 1991.

The Valuation Office Agency has decided which Council Tax band your home has been placed in.

Valuation of your property

You might need to contact the VOA if you think your council tax band is wrong. You can find out more about when you can challenge your band and what you need to do - Challenge council tax band. If you challenge your band, you must continue to pay council tax at your current band until your appeal is decided.
