5 Year Housing Land Supply

In accordance with paragraph 76 of the National Planning Policy Framework, Sunderland City Council are not required to identify and update annually a supply of specific deliverable site to provide a minimum of five years' worth of housing for decision making purposes at this time, as the adopted plan is less than five years old (adopted January 2020) and it identified at least a five year supply of specific, deliverable sites at the time that the examination concluded. 

The Council will seek to publish a revised five year land supply position statement in advance of the current supply position expiring (January 2025).
